I
am a retired architect with extensive experience in custom homes, vacation
cabins, cottages, affordable housing, and retail spaces. In addition,
I have award-winning experience in neighborhood design including
Planned Unit Developments. My recent projects include homes along the
McKenzie River, resorts in Camp Sherman, Oregon and several neo-traditional neighborhood design in Eugene, Oregon. Public and non-profit housing includes Sheldon Village Apartments for the Lane
County Housing Authority, the Jacob's Lane neighborhood and River
Kourt housing for head-injured persons. In my work I use "A
Pattern Language" by the Center for Environmental Structure and
find that it is an excellent means of communication with my clients. I retired my Oregon Architect's license effective December 31, 2025. I plan to continue my design work with modest projects that are exempt from the requirements of an architect's registration.
